Our new 3 mm Gastroscope can help us to visualize the horses’ esophagus and stomach. We can diagnose and treat ulcers and retrieve foreign bodies if necessary. The color monitor allows the owner to watch the scoping procedure and a copy can be made simultaneously on a CD. The CD will become a part of your horse’s medical record.
The Scope, seen here, provides a picture/movie of the horse's stomach, that was previously not available to the medical community and horse owners. Here you see the Doctor and the Vet Technician reviewing a stomach exam. The scope records the entire exam, giving the medical professionals the opportunity to do a post review of the exam, freeze frame any section, and if required this can be shared with other offsite medical professionals for a second opinion when required.
