Horses that require fluid therapy due to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, colic, or tying-up, may be hospitalized at our clinic and receive fluids in one of our four “fluid therapy” stalls.  These stalls allow the horse to be able to comfortably walk around with an intravenous catheter while the fluids are hung centrally.  The amount of fluids given may be increased due to the system versus one bag at a time, allowing the horse to improve faster.
